This meme is for both existing and potential players to Systemwide to have some friendly banter about the characters they are thinking about apping. Allow us not only to yell forcefully at you to do the thing, but maybe gain some ideas about how to do the thing!

Your Potential Character's Canon: Kingsman: The Secret Service

Concept ideas: Ideally, he would have some experience and have been unplugged some time ago. I would be tempted to take it from the prologue of the movie when his colleague/Eggsy's father dies, and live out the next decade and a half in Zion. I would then have him dramatically canon update towards during the movie's current timeline (does a tap dance around spoilers). Functionally, he is an operative through and through, I think, and not necessarily a captain, but could still take senior roles.
Concept concerns: If I were to app him, it would probably not be soon. I might consider letting someone go first, and I'd for sure have to test drive him to see if I can maintain him in more day to day RP, but I can see easy ways to RP him in plot.

Concept ideas: Ideally, I'd like him to be unplugged pretty recently, not enough to have really settled in, but enough that he's not confused and wobbly anymore. Basically just past the fresh newbie introductory stage. I don't see him captaining or leading or anything, but Wolfie's a team tank, and I'd like to see him carry on with that - need someone to beat a guy up for you or have your back with a rocket launcher, Wolfgang's your man!

I also love building CR and doing day-to-day stuff and wanna just interact him with anyone.

Concept concerns: ....are there parties and swimming pools???

I'm not gonna lie, he's a pretty amazing character, they wrote him good. I'm gonna have to snoop around the info more and get it in my head, then I shall see. I've been itching to play him lately.

systemwide is a pretty sweet setting to dig your teeth into a character, and your dude seems like he'd have plenty of hooks to get you started. i endorse this completely. come to our collective bosom.

YES COME HERE, we definitely need a Wolfgang and there is a tragic lack of Wachowski characters in this Wachowski game. Ofc there are parties and at least simulated swimming pools and plenty of rocket launchers in need of use.

Have you thought about how to translate his sensate abilities into the matrix? Because that could also be awesome, ijs. Form a little cluster with your fellow operatives or something.

Haha, I was putting him up on ATP and figured I'd check to see if anyone was looking for Sense8.

If there is a body of water, he will be in it as often as possible. And if there is a rocket launcher, even better.

Oh man, I wasn't sure if he'd be able to translate it into forming new clusters or if he'd only be able to connect with his own little cluster. If he could, though, the possibilities would be endless, and ridiculously fun to play with. I'm still looking through all the info and working out how it might function, so I hadn't formed any clear ideas on translating them yet!

WELL our mod team is awesome and pretty open to player creativity on the whole, so I bet you could work something out if you wanted to go that route! If you want to throw ideas at them, the FAQ page has a section for questions about game mechanics over yonder. It's definitely a unique situation, but. also could be really neat.

The uploads page might also be worth checking out for context, too, although there's nothing specifically about how powers are translated, just that you'd need to attribute 2 anomalous skill points to do it.

Would be really delighted to have him on the ship that Tony is wrangling together. I don't know what our roster is going to look like just yet, but I don't think we have a tank, and 'weird family' vibe could work out really well for this group I think.

OKAY HELP ME CHOOSE. I have two characters and I'm tentative about both but I can also only app one if any.

Your Potential Character: Hannibal Lecter
Your Potential Character's Canon: Hannibal.

Concept ideas: Hannibal will have been extracted for a while, and have spent the time rebuilding his strength and finances, primarily through casual smuggling. He will then open up a psychiatric practice in Zion. My test drive starter had more detail on that vision.
Concept concerns: I already play Anders so two medically-minded people in a small game might be to overlapping in plot roles, also I've never managed to maintain a villain in a game before and I'm worried it will take more work than I should really commit to.


Your Potential Character: Napoleon Solo
Your Potential Character's Canon: Man from UNCLE (2015).

Concept ideas: Also unplugged for a while. Irkalian pirate and all 'round asshole. Does dirty work for the ZDG, is possibly undercover? Gives no shits about saving people. Massive gambling debt that he's maybe working off?
Concept concerns: I literally just dropped a spy, pretty sure I have to wait two weeks before he's appable.

ok real thoughts:

- hannibal & anders seem different enough not to have a ton of overlap, despite both being medical types, especially if you lean hannibal toward the psychiatry side of things
- your villain concerns are legit, but on the plus side he's a pretty slow-burn villain and the game is not huge, so you would have room to pace yourself
- hannibal seems a little easier to integrate into the game
- but napoleon would flesh out a side of the game that has lots of room for fleshing out & therefore create some new cr opportunities
- also spies always more spies
- napoleon + harry hart would be the greatest cr of all time ijs

Solo would be so much fun, this game needs more charming chatty assholes (every game needs more charming chatty assholes) not to mention him and Hawke both admiring how handsome the other is. I'm going to have to disagree with Jenni and say I think he seems like he'd be easier to integrate and generate RP with since he's so outgoing and accessible. Pirates/ZDG/gambling sound like good hooks, too.

Concept ideas: I think I want her to be new... but I want her to get involved into things too idk. Fighty things most likely, but also long senseless rants about philosophy and other assorted random topics. She's old as balls so she has a lot of knowledge about a lot of stuff.
Concept concerns: I'm still sloooowly working on her voice so everything is shaky and she's kind of a detached jerk sometimes, not to mention someone who probably come to question everything and everyone.

I think that's the best choice, since she's quietly proud of her mad sword skills and not being able to stand and fight for a while would totally ruin her mood forever. I'm still soaking up all there is about the game but it would be cool to set her up to slowly rise through the ranks.

At least I didn't go and make her blonde, right? I was thiiiiiiiis close.

basically just +1ing what jenni said: you could have her just post rehab or six months out or something so she's still relatively new but, you know, has some level of muscle coordination. I guess it depends what sort of stuff you want to get her involved in right away? Ranting on the network doesn't even really need typing fingers, but fighty stuff'd need some training up, etc.

Confusing Cage with Emily Blunt face definitely a plus! I'd say 'poor Cage' but maybe this version will shoot him less often
