Welcome to our second CR Meme!

We have amended our original plans so that the CR meme will be posted every 2 months. As new players and characters arrive, they can hash out connections that came before their game play begins, as well as plot out new game play. Specifically, this could also be a good venue to find ship crews that are looking for new crew mates, and for prospective crew mates to find new ship crews.

yes! we should definitely do this when lexa gets to zion which will probably be this month I think. having a pc around to politick with will be awesome.

what sort of shady dealings is he into? would they have any sort of pre-existing connection there, however distant?

he is mostly into things that earn him future favors and influence, BUT i was just typing at china that jack may be tangentially dabbling in providing information to assist smugglers who are bringing irkallan refugees into the city, which seems relevant... so if lexa is familiar with william's beau and vis-a-vis william, they could have a connection there.

jack is generally (although not publicly) in favor of making peace with and/or reuniting as much of the human population as possible and then consolidating power under himself maybe, what, so he may be a useful ally in the future, too.

Yeah, I haven't connected with China about that yet so I'm not sure, but it sounds like at the very least they might've dealt with some of the same people, brushed up against similar circles. He'd probably know of her "her boss's" refugee smuggling efforts. I'd prefer he not know her real identity at least to start with, but maybe down the line a bit we could play with him finding out and getting to decide if/how to use that information.

And I have to say I love the idea of them as allies with similar/overlapping goals but totally different motivations and especially different styles, that sounds like it could be awesome.

Yesss me too. That sounds like a good plan! Jack would be keeping his smuggler connections on the down-low as much as possible too, since this is not a position he's willing to go public about, so we could play around with both of them not knowing everything about the other at first.
