Job/Role: Childcare provider.
General Reputation: Anya has been unplugged for a couple of years and shuffled around between different kinds of work, throwing herself wholly and efficiently into the business of adapting to the real world; she started out with the historians, picked up some medical skills, and did a tour on the Nidhoggr as a trainee before being let go by then-captain Metzger. Anya is a competent, quick learner - it's just that she's become good at things and although there are glimmers that some people skills are buried under the standoffish, flat affect she's developed to cope with her new life, it's only recently that she's started to think she might actually benefit from using them again.
She is excellent with children, and her English is improving.
Looking For: I would like to foster some closer CR! Anya needs to bond with people - she's an idealist with the best hope for humanity at heart, but a pragmatic one with a more ready grasp of what humanity is like than most of those...only she's spent over two centuries not viewing herself as a part of that, and she's got a lingering tendency to be a benevolent step apart. She is starting to recognize that's not healthy outside of her matrix context, and she is quietly, simmeringly full of rage about the mere concept of her matrix and keen to distance herself from it.
Notes: In the near future she's going to come down on Cage's back like a little blonde drop bear. It will make sense when it happens, probably.

Canon: classic World of Darkness.
Job/Role: the Atalanta's operator.
General Reputation: Mila has been unplugged for several years, and has spent most of that time with the ZDG - spending roughly a year as an operative before packing it in and retraining as an operator. There are plenty of operatives who don't fucking hate the work, and fewer operators; it seemed sensible. She parties as hard as she works but hasn't tended to form a lot of close bonds, not offering much of herself beyond her self-assurance and dry, biting humour.
Also, she recently sent Gwisin a fruit basket (and forged Hawke's signature on the card) on account of some friendly fire that sideswiped his ferrari during the battle with the Harbinger.
Looking For: More ZDG stuff, more tattoo stuff (she has some work done by Benji Ryans), more everything. Maybe touching on why she doesn't like going back into the matrix.

General Reputation: the shiny ken doll counterpart to metzger's brisk germanness assholery, but is working on his own, now, since metzger's departure. infrequently on the network but his presence is occasionally invited by having sassy things to say that show off his anti-robot point of view or occasionally promise of normal sounding conversation.
Looking For: reaffirming any kind of established cr, as well as creating new cr. he's a weird human being on account of being secretly super old in the strangest way possible, and probably less together without a certain future for his career and the departure of 2/3 of all the people he cares about. General Reputation: those who were in the ZDG 18 months ago may have run into him! he had short hair at the time and was a lot skinnier than he was now and someone in the know gave him the callsign Bolt and he was like 'that's fine' and tried to be a hero. the ship he was on got caught up in some controversy and he realised he had no idea what he was doing and ran away to meditate on it in antioch for over a year. recently, he's been hauled very willingly back to Zion upon realising he has friends here, and acted as a gunner on the Phoenix during recent battle.
Looking For: catching up with familiar faces for the first time but also making new friends! open to anyone know him from before, too.
Notes: i am gonna steer him towards being picked up by the atalanta as an operative. he enjoys going into matrixes that allow him to access his abilities.

Job/Role: Political aide to Aries, former operative
General Reputation: Jack has been one of Aries’s aides for about a year, and in that time has developed a reputation as a charmer who does actually get things done. It’s easy to spot that he comes from a privileged upbringing in his matrix, a crown prince to be exact, but he comes off as something of a mockery of his own stereotype, prone to sarcasm and quick to self-depreciate. Though he may not always seem like it, he is serious about his political goals, and there are rumors he’s a bit vicious when crossed. In the wake of the attack on Olympus he's been a busy bee with the council, but he has semi-conspicuously donated to Anders' clinic and lost his temper at the architect a bit and I maaaay throw him at the Great Harbinger Head Search for network blather shortly.
Prior to politics, Jack started his career in the ZDG, until about a year ago when half his crew was killed by machines. Jack was generally credited with leading the survivors to safety with some degree of heroics. (The reality is more complicated, but also a secret.) His surviving crew mates seem genuinely fond of him for some reason and he’s known to show less flippant dedication to the well-being of ZDG soldiers.
Less known but certainly not unknown is the fact that Jack is haphazardly religious, with a quiet interest in collecting matrix code for early Judaic artifacts and iterations of Torah. (Basically, if you have or can get something like that, it’s not hard to get pointed his direction for a trade.) On the flip side, he is a generous patron of Zion’s entertainment industry, which is to say he would frequently crawl into a nightclub-shaped hole to die if he could, and in Zion tends to seek out its nearest not-really-equivalents with regularity.
Looking For: Notes: I am currently trying (and frequently failing) to abstain from starting new things due to upcoming deadlines, but I'd love to make plans for things to start about a week to 10 days from now.

ANDERS!!
Character name: Anders.
Canon: Dragon Age.
Job/Role: Medic. (Also helps to run a clinic.)
General Reputation: Anders has been unplugged for two years. A lot of that time has been spent adjusting to a world that is incredibly different from his swords-and-sorcery home Matrix. He has also been struggling severely with his mental health and is still of two minds about the philosophy of ethics in the Matrix. However! While he no longer has his spirit healing, Anders has spent a significant amount of time time learning more about treating patients without magic, and using simulations. He trained in a clinic for Zion citizens on the living levels, mostly general practice with a side focus on obstetrics and pathology, and has recently taken on more responsibility for the daily running of the clinic.
Within the last four months he has also started working sporadically with the Zion Defense Grid as a dockside medic. He has flown out with a couple of ships a couple of times and is always available for missions where injured people are highly likely (recovering crashed ships for instance.) It is, however, notable that he doesn't want to go back into the Matrix.
Anders himself is one part angry social justice mage, one part broody antihero, one part court jester. He's flirtatious (though he's cohabitating with Hawke and they've got a pretty serious relationship under their belt so good luck getting any further), passionate, capable of serious generosity and good bedside manner as well as sarcasm, selfishness and sharpness, and misses cats almost more than being able to shoot fireballs.
Looking For:
• Plot stuff. Anders is chasing up some stuff with Skye and is signed up for a small plot on the plot page that needs more people.
• Recruitment CR. Thedas Matrix is a mess but if your character is coming in with two years or more under their belt and could have been on the team that extracted Anders, hit me up.
• Sim Training CR. Anders may not jack in to the real Matrix but he enjoys sims. I'm also still cool if anyone wants to hit up his open log and accidentally plug into his kitten sim.
• Patients, or former patients.
• Fellow medics - The doctor who trained him is an NPC named Dr. Li but I don't have much headcanon for her.
• Hawke's CR and Hawke's crewmates. Points to eyes, points to you.
• Literally anyone to chat with.
Notes: In his own world, he had merged with a spirit of Justice that was the instigator of a fixed point of conflict in the Thedas Matrixes. Now aware that he is effectively carrying an AI with him at all times, Anders misses his magic but is wary of risking his autonomy by allowing Justice access to him again. In the real world, he's coping with being free but also has occasional hallucinations of the spirit still being within him.
While Anders has started to talk about Justice now that Fenris and Hawke are present, he hasn't really told anyone about Justice's ability to use his Matrix body for its own ends, even though it's obviously a huge security risk.

NATASHA!!!
Canon: MCU.
Job/Role: Operator (trainee) aboard the Phoenix.
General Reputation: Natasha proved very adaptable upon her extraction from the Matrix by Johanna, and dedicated nearly four months to intensive physical training in order to get back on her feet and recover some of her skills. She has a strong and marked interest in Zion politics and history, in native Zion culture, and has been integrating herself with people surrounding the council. Recently she signed up with the ZDG as an Operator as the first step in her ambition. She took the name "Widow" to prove she's left her Matrix behind, and was Operator on the Phoenix for a couple of months but is now looking for a new position again.
Despite the fact that she immediately gave up her old name and life, and that she is definitely of the argument that the Matrix meant nothing and the freedom of the real world is far better, she's been heavily in communication with people from her own world, to the point that she deliberately investigates anyone who she discovers came from "her" Matrix. Her loyalty to Steve Rogers probably trumps just about anything else Zion has to offer, so it's probably a good thing they're on the same ship.
Finally, Natasha has also created an alternate persona named "Yaga" whose personality and appearance is still somewhat in a trial period but whose purpose is basically espionage, because old habits die hard.
Looking For:
• People who want me to slowly run sim's for them
• Mentor-mentee stuff could be fun, in either direction.
• People to train with in whatever area.
• Anyone who wants to do political machinations with me, any plots related to the Council NPCs, etc.
• NEW PEOPLE gimme new characters.
• Basically anything? She talks to a lot of people so if we already have vague CR she might show up in your life, especially if you have anything that's useful to her or she finds you interesting.
Notes: Avengers: AOU only dealt vaguely with Natasha's backstory, and so while I'm being very careful with spoilers out of consideration for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet, unless we're getting into the details of her past it shouldn't come up. Her canonpoint is still post-Cap2.

General Reputation: Fenris mostly keeps to himself, but he's not that friendly in general. He is useful and helpful and he performs tasks efficiently--more efficiently than ever, now that he's mastered all of his various motor skills--but he is not a warm man.
Looking For: FRIENDS ... Fenris is carrying around a lot of weight; a lot of bitterness and resentment and uncertainty. But he's not a bad dude, or an unreasonable dude. He just needs some buds. Antagonistic CR is cool, too, though; he certainly doesn't make friendship easy.
