"We need access to other daemons who are hooked into the system," Fara replied immediately. She raised a hand and two of the three of her accomplices poked their heads out, eyeballing Kaitan carefully. One seemed disrespectful, all trouble, maybe. The other seemed mostly uncertain -- wary, definitely. Both of them were dressed in a fashion that seemed as far off as anything south of Isiodoth, which was to say, across the Horn or beyond. (One of them was even wearing shades, unwilling to change his residual self-image to fit the times. Fara didn't like him much.)
"I've been working behind the scenes on something very important, but it's the sort of thing that is going to get us royally in trouble... sort of like last time, but worse," she admitted. She turned towards Tunada now, dipping her head again to show respect. "Sorry to put it all on you, but 'do or die' doesn't even begin to nail it."
In the meantime, she said to Kaitan, "we need access to other bolt-holes that potential asandus and caetran forces aren't aware of, or that they can't get to. We're wearing down our welcome in this one."
